"Grandfather Sun"

Sunset over the ocean with silhouetted tree in the foreground.

A yellow dwarf star, “Grandfather Sun“ centers our solar system. There are no phases to the sun, no crescents, no waning or waxing, it is a constant in our sky. The sun gives us warmth, light, and conversely, shadows. Whether its light is direct, or reflected, blinding or muted through cloud cover, or diffused as it rises or sets, capturing the sun itself, or its effect, can be a challenge.
